Which country domain is most popular?

Which country domain code do you think is most popular?

I believe that the .us (United States) and .co.uk (United Kingdom) are most popular since there have been many registrations from those companies and due to the amount of people who visit the internet from those countries.

It seems that .de is the most popular one by germany. 174 million domain names registered worldwide. Its a lot of domains but do they get much traffic. I mostly have .com domains, so I dont really use any country domains.

Like Electron, I use .com as well however. Occasionally I purchase cctld domains when I find generic names for example, credit.ac, pizza.ac, those are good sites with good names and are hard to find.

I don't use country domains but when I come across them it seems like they are almost always .co.uk or .de.

I like .com and if my website ever got popular then I might invest in .co.uk etc but I don't know if there is any point in it.

if your site is very popular its good to have the other extensions as well, last thing you want is other people registering these and put their sites or ads on it!

Well there is always the option to trademark the name and then no-one can register the extension anywho

better get them before people abuse them!
