How do you do it? How do you choose a niche?

Does it hit you by accident, or do you really research it and try to find something that fits you?

What are the best way to find a good niche?

Kinda both. Sometimes it hits me by accident, if I am looking at something or hearing something, than searching for keyword value and voila!

But most of the time I use keyword research tools, trends, competition checkers, backlink checkers etc. Everything to find a niche with less competition and good paying clicks.

You looking for new niches at the moment to start in?

Thanks for the reply. I am indeed looking for a new niche to get into. I prefer a website where I can run AdSense, Affiliate offers and can have Private advertisers. I already have something in mind that is specific in the baby niche. A niche where I think Adsense will do good, Affiliate offers might do good and Private advertisers might do good. But I am not sure.

Is this a good choice? What do you think of this niche and does anyone has experience with it? I am not passionate about babies so should I get into?

The specific niche I found has 9,000 exact searches on the Google keyword tool and the competition does not look very strong, I can get into the top 5 within a few months I expect.

Any advice?

Any updates here? I just started in a new medical niche. Found a keyword that was free with the .net and had some search volume! Now trying to get in the top 5 to see some traffic and hopefully $$$$

In the American west there existed vast grasslands providing an ecological niche for a large, grazing herbivore. The bison filled that niche. In Australia, the large grazing herbivore is the kangaroo. Both fill the same niche in different ecosystems.
