You are so right!!! However there are several ways to approach this.
1) Build and app. I like to use Pat from smartpassiveincome as an example (see the sidebar): http://www.smartpassiveincome.com
2) create and mobile version of your site ex. http://m.tripwiremagazine.com (try it on your smartphone and compare to a normal browser)
3) or use what is know as responsive design. ex. http://creativecan.com/ (try it on your smartphone and compare to a normal browser)

I dont want to judge here but I think 3) is the most future proof solution and it requires less maintenance compared to the other options... however 1) + 3) could be a cool combo I think
