I don't agree with it. I would suggest you to improve your product and its presentation and promote it. You don't have like others product to make them like yours. If your product is decent and you are promoting it, people will start to like it automatically. But it wont happen very quickly, you will have to be patient.

Initially you have to like few pages to promote your product. Because there is too much of competition in market now. And noone will believe that your product is best. Or i should say nobody even care to check the quality of your product initially. So at first stage you have to like few pages and in revenge they will like yours. The the followers of others will start liking your page. This is what the actual strategy.... And you can't be patience till your competitor go ahead of you. You have to make plans to be successful and can't sit idealy with patience and waiting for result.
