Default What is Difference between Web Designing and Graphic Designing

    Hi all,

It's necessary to understand that web design and graphic design share many similarities, but they also have many differences.

A most frustrating things for me within design is my seemingly misplaced sense of job title. What I just don't get is why a web designer is different than a graphic designer?

As you know that resolution is the quality of an image. It's measured in terms of pixels. If you see an image listed as '72 ppi', that means the image has 72 pixels per inch. Because web graphics are viewed on screen, they should be no larger than 72 ppi. A large ppi image will load slower, and won't necessarily look any better.

If you have more difference between them so please share……

There are many differences between Graphics design & Web design.
Web design is something related to Programming language which is done in Dream waver software etc.But Graphics design doesn't include coding of any language.

Graphic Design would focus on how to design graphically pleasing layouts. You would learn about color theory, typefaces, the relationship between design elements when placed on a page and just generally how to make things, either printed or displayed in another way, look appealing.

Web Design would require many of the skills of a good graphic designer but also, you'd need to learn how to write web pages. You'd probably start by learning HTML (hyper text mark up language) which is the scripting language web pages are made up of. You'd move on to current and updated languages like XML and cascading style sheets.
