Which of these websites ( Social bookmarking or Social network) was better for driving traffic to your website as you experienced?

We can't just ditch any of this strategy since both of them are important in SEO but if you're going to ask me what I like better then its social networking because it can drive more traffic to your site and you can easily promote your site here.

Both are effective .

But i guess Social Book marking is harmful if you doing it at huge amount, Its considered as spam , so becarefull it can hurt your website position in search engines !

For example you bookmark a link from your website to any bookmarking site like stumbleupon or reddit it will appear on there category and search engine will crawel and spot that link in there cache and give you little boost but soon when they come back your link will no longer be there as Social Book Marking website adding, updating more stories and deleting old ones quickly ! .

So do it rarly and selectively some bookmarking website are good like yoolink etc !

At the other hand social networking is very helpfull and best so far .
