    Default Backlinks through blogs

Will google punish if I try to include backlinks through blogs? Can I sell backlinks without coming under the wrath of google?

Too many of irrelevant links on your webpage might affect your rankings.

Selling and buying links is prohibited by Google.

So,in selling/buying links, don't post your blog's URL. If Google will find out that you are selling/buying link, they will penalize you. Be sure to communicate privately on your customer.

you can sell some links on your site and just put them under 'friends' or 'related sources' instead of 'advertising' or something.

I don't know if that has been proven, but common sense will tell me Google can't mark them as paid, if you keep it clean and relevant.

You can link to friends right? or related sites that have value for your visitors??

Yes, it is understood that backlinks can be placed and should be placed only on relevant blogs.
