Should I really buy this domain?

Godaddy lists the site as a premium domain name and costs $300+. This is a little out of my price range and I am an intermediate web developer. Is it worth the investment?

It really depends on the domain and how much you're willing to put into it.

Just because godaddy says a domain is "premium" doesn't mean it is. And even a great site won't do all that well if you don't put enough into it.

If the domain looks fairly good, you're confident in your ability to make a site that will drive traffic and you have the time to work on it quite a bit every day, then yes, it probably is worth it.

That said, you could do just as well with a crappy domain, so I would say only invest the money if you're willing to work on a site for a long time and you're looking for a fairly large payoff.

Not all permium domains are good.

if the domain contain a keyword you need you may buy it.

You should buy it if the name was something you really really want and not just because it is a premium domain.

There are lots of domain businessmen on Godaddy and they buy all good domain name before and sale as premium domain so of course the price would be higher if you are buying premium domains from Godaddy.
