You mean better than adwords, or any other kind of promotion? I don't know if its the best.. some sites are big due to their communities.. nothing to do with SEO...

But if you want to sell a certain product with high search volume, I guess SEO is the best option!

Yeah, can't figure out what you're trying to say. SEO is a great feature, but the problem with SEO is that it requires people to continuously search for your keyword. If that keyword becomes obsolete, you lose the traffic source. What I would suggest, instead, is a mixture of community building, newsletter marketing and then SEO. With all of this, you'll keep people coming back to your site time and time again.

I m not getting what are you talking about SEO is a nice feature but it is termed as a hectic task as certain amount of people must be doing the search part all the time.
