    Default Desktop vs Laptop

    Hey guys,

So wondering if you guys have desktop or laptop, or perhaps both.

Reason I'm asking is because I'm looking to purchase a desktop right now but I don't know if its worth it. Should I get one or should I perhaps just get a faster laptop?

Depends what you need it for. If you're not looking to do anything super hard I would definitely get a laptop for the portability. On the other hand, if you're on a bit of a budget and are looking to either use it for gaming or power intensive tasks like rendering video, then I'd get a desktop.

I have a desktop which I love, the thing is a beast. But, it isn't portable. I do have a tablet which is portable but so under powered it has trouble playing flash video (stupid Centrino processors are worthless). To make up for it I just bought a laptop with an i7 in it. The thing is a monster. You can certainly get a laptop with a lot of performance and get the best of both worlds. Depending on your budget, you can pick up a laptop with a good graphics card and an i7 processor for around a grand.

I cant think why people still buying laptop when they don't have any benefit over laptop..while laptops are always easy to carry, have battery back up and all the features are available which you may need..

Well, in the very small bedroom I have. ..

The netbook which I usually use since I never got the net working on the two desktops I have in this room.

Theres a few other computers in my house, but I use the tiny netbook .
