Social Bookmarking?

Hey guys,

Would you mind helping me understand the social bookmarking concept? I do not quite understand why there is such a market for selling a social bookmarking service or what it does for the site, (in general I know it helps SEO and SERP)

2. On high traffic social bookmark sites, as the links are tagged relevantly, you get referral traffic.
3. If your content is really good & if you get a few initial votes, you can get huge traffic.
4. It's great to index new pages, and rank well for long tail keywords.

All points are good! new sites get ranked very quickly if you submit to a lot of (relevant) social mediagroups

Basically social bookmarking help in promoting your site. And i think you know the application of facebook which is really help for getting active traffic.

Actually I have misplaced my social bookmarking list as I get it. I will post here. It is very useful for getting traffic.

by the way.. i still get around 1000 visitors monthly from stumble upon to a site I totally neglect..

SU visitors are not known for looking around websites as its not very good traffic or am I mistaken?

you are right, most of the times these visitors left my site in less than 5 seconds.. this traffic is not worth money I guess.. but hey... better than nothing
